The Bids To Flood Kuwait With Drugs Are Increasing
According to Kuwait's acting interior minister, narcotics plots have become more "robust" and "professional" in recent years.
According to Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, these efforts have been noticed in the promotion and trafficking of drugs, "so we should exert more efforts and stand firm against this peril.".
For the sake of protecting the homeland youth, we will not stop until this scourge is eradicated."
During the process of unpacking 90 kilograms of "shabu" narcotics that had been smuggled into the country aboard a boat, Sheikh Talal Khaled praised the security personnel for foiling drug trafficking attempts.
Against such annihilating scourges, the Kuwaiti people will not be complacent, he said.
Two people were detained aboard the boat by the coast guard. The pair had tried to set it afire but they were overcome by the personnel. In interrogation, they revealed that a third accomplice was also involved in the botched operation. Later, he was captured and imprisoned.
