Taking Action Against Illegal Concert Organizers

According to Al-Rai daily, the Ministry of Information has confirmed that holding musical concerts in public places must comply with the law according to the ministerial decision. As stated by the daily, any violation of these requirements exposes the violators to legal liability.

Anwar Murad, spokesman for the Ministry of Information, said that the ministry "immediately took the necessary measures against the company that organized the concert in a hotel on Eid al-Adha's second day.".

A deterrent measure was taken after MP Ahmad Mutee contacted the Minister of Information regarding holding of the concert contrary to Islamic law. The license of the organizing company has been revoked. Mutee added, "Everyone who contributed and dared hold this party will be held accountable.
