Stabbing Incident Leads To Longer Prison Term For Kuwaiti Citizen

According to the Court of Appeals, the prison term for a Kuwaiti citizen convicted of killing a young man in Raqqa with a knife has been increased from seven to ten years.

In the case file, officers from the General Department of Criminal Investigations arrested the suspect after he stabbed the victim in the heart with a knife and killed him. During investigations, the suspect insisted that he stabbed the victim in self-defense during the quarrel, and had not intended to stab him to kill him. During the court session, he had denied the charge of premeditated murder.
