Spectacular Leonid Meteor Shower Set For Kuwait In November
Kuwait Scientific Center announced today that Kuwait will experience three astronomical phenomena in November, including the Leonid meteor showers in the middle of the month.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the center pointed out that the Leonid meteor showers, which peak between November 14 and 17, are among the most prominent and eagerly anticipated phenomena.
According to the article, the Leonid meteor shower occurs between November 6 and November 30, originating from dust particles from the Temple-Tuttle comet. These meteor showers are considered medium in intensity and typically produce between 10 to 15 meteors per hour at their peak.
Observers and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to observe Jupiter throughout the night on November 3, since it will be in opposition, meaning it will be directly opposite the sun.
In addition, the statement mentioned that the moon will reach full moon status on November 27, while the new moon of the lunar calendar will occur on November 14, with Jumada al-Ula beginning on Wednesday, November 15.
