Separation Of Genders Is Demanded By Kuwaiti Mp

A Kuwaiti newspaper reported that a lawmaker had called for an immediate ban on mixing men and women at the Ministry of Islamic Endowments (Awqaf).

Female employees at the ministry are irked by such mixing, according to MP Hamad Al Obeid. Women employees shouldn't be inconvenienced at their workplaces, especially when they're doing a good job, said Obeid, who won Kuwait's early legislative elections in September.

The Ministry of Awqaf did not respond immediately.
