Schools And Institutes Are Closed For 3 Days To Mourn The Passing Of Amir

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Ahmed Al-Wahida, has officially announced the suspension of activities within the Ministry, including its central offices, educational zones, schools, and institutes. A three-day suspension, beginning on Sunday, 12/17/2023, marks the passing of the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Al-Wahida explained in an official statement that the commencement dates of the first semester exams will be adjusted for the academic year 2023/2024. For the intermediate stage, the exams will now begin on December 20, 2023, and conclude on December 28, 2023. In the secondary stage, which encompasses the tenth and eleventh grades in both literary and scientific disciplines, exams will begin on Wednesday, December 20, and continue until Thursday, January 4, 2024. The exams for the twelfth grade in the literary and scientific departments have also been postponed to January 7, 2024, according to Al-Wahida.
