Plan To Demolish Campsites After The Sun Sets

 The Spring Camps Committee at Kuwait Municipality has laid down an alternative plan to remove camping sites – conduct evening demolition campaigns with the support of the Public Security and Environmental Police departments at the Interior Ministry, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.

Sources explained the committee took this step after the Municipality teams experienced difficulties in controlling the owners of camping sites when they carried out demolition campaigns in the morning. Sources pointed out the camping season for the year 2020/2021 is on the verge of being cancelled officially, considering there are only 100 days left in this season. Sources added the Municipality is facing several difficulties due to the violators and the long distance between camps as it slows down the movement of machinery and equipment; thus, only a few of the illegal camping sites have been demolished so far.
