Over Two Days, 6,186 Traffic Violations Issued
In a proactive move, the Traffic and Operations Sector in Kuwait intensified efforts over the last two days to address traffic violations, monitor offenses, conduct targeted campaigns, and deploy patrols across various governorates.
As a result of these measures, a staggering 6,186 diverse traffic violations were issued, with 6 individuals referred to traffic police and 9 individuals handed over to juvenile prosecution. The vigilant operations also led to the apprehension of two individuals wanted by security, as reported by Al-Rai daily.
The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry revealed that the campaigns resulted in the seizure of 152 vehicles, all of which were subsequently impounded. Moreover, 199 violations related to nuisance noise were recorded, 12 wanted vehicles were seized, and 167 radar violations were documented.
Emphasizing the unwavering commitment of the General Traffic Department, the department stressed the importance of conducting campaigns and enforcing traffic laws without leniency for violators. The paramount goal remains ensuring the safety of all road users through strict adherence to traffic regulations.
