More Than 170 People Wanted By Law Held In City Suburb Raid
A comprehensive security campaign conducted Thursday in Bneid Al-Gar in the Capital Governorate, under the leadership of Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sulaiman Fahad Al-Fahad and some highranking officials, resulted in the arrest of 171 individuals who violated laws. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department at the ministry revealed that a number of securitymen were assigned in various parts of the area to track down criminals.
The Public Security, Traffic, Rescue Police, Central Operations, Criminal Security, Residency Affairs departments participated in the campaign.
Two persons were arrested for the possession of drugs, five for involvement in criminal cases, four wanted by law for involvement in civil cases, 34 who reported absconding by their sponsors and 126 who failed to present valid identification documents. This is in addition to confiscation of some vehicles found to have been used in committing crimes and issuance of 203 citations for different traffic violations.
