MOH Program Presented To Parliament To Be Implemented Within 100 Days

During the annual diagnostic radiology conference, the Minister of Health emphasized key priorities for advancing healthcare services in Kuwait. Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi highlighted the government's focus on new construction, enhanced primary healthcare, and the digitization of health services.

Dr. Al-Awadhi emphasized the significance of the government's work program, which includes plans to develop primary healthcare under the supervision of Dr. Nadia Al-Juma, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Care Affairs. The program also involves opening new centers, extending working hours, training staff, and bolstering infrastructure. Notably, 79 ambulances will soon be received and operationalized, alongside efforts to digitize patient records and implement comprehensive digital programs.

The Minister stressed the ministry's commitment to achieving its objectives outlined in the government's work program within 100 days, as presented to the National Assembly.

At the conference, Dr. Al-Awadhi outlined a vision for the future of diagnostic radiology, emphasizing the role of caregivers in addressing patient safety and rights. He advocated for leveraging the latest technologies to improve diagnosis and treatment accuracy, particularly for cancer and cardiovascular patients.

The conference provided a platform to discuss challenges such as artificial intelligence technology, aiming to enhance health services and diagnosis accuracy. Dr. Al-Awadhi underscored the Ministry of Health's dedication to staying abreast of the latest scientific developments in diagnostic radiology.

Dr. Asma Al-Failakawi, President of the Conference and Head of the Radiology Department at Al-Amiri Hospital, highlighted the participation of international experts alongside national talent to elevate healthcare services and enhance medical staff efficiency.
