Moe Request To Settle The Tender For Uniforms Approved
Acting Director of the Maintenance Department at the Educational Construction Sector Suzan Al-Satlan disclosed the additional air conditioning units included in the Amiri Grant that HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah launched last year (14,000 air conditioning units) are ready for installation.
Al-Satlan urged the director of the Tenders Department at the Amiri Diwan to contact a company which pledged to supply the air conditioning units and carry out the required maintenance works in the Capital Educational District schools. Secretary-General of the Central System for Public Tenders Haya Al-Wada’ani announced the approval of the Ministry of Education’s request to settle the tender for preparing, designing and making uniforms of students who will participate in the 56th National Day and 26th Liberation Day celebrations at the lowest price. She added a company which makes military uniforms won the tender for KD 98,000.
The committee formed by Ministry of Higher Education for accreditation of universities has submitted its report to the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammad Al-Fares, recommending suspension of accreditation of several Arab and foreign universities as well as some local private universities, reports Al-Shahed daily. The report indicated that the affected universities are academically weak and are suspected of exploiting many students financially.
