MOE Implements A Fingerprint Attendance System For Teachers

Hessa Al-Mutawa, the acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education at the Ministry of Education, has announced the implementation of a new system for monitoring teacher attendance and dismissal using fingerprint devices. The initiative is set to commence on Sunday, the 11th of this month.

In a circular directed to the directors of educational and religious education districts, Al-Mutawa emphasized the importance of facilitating the Information Systems Department’s efforts in registering fingerprints for all employees in departments and schools. This proactive measure aims to address any potential technical issues that may arise during the implementation process.

The introduction of the fingerprint attendance system represents a significant step towards enhancing accountability and efficiency within the education sector, ensuring accurate records of teacher attendance and dismissal. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to modernizing administrative processes and promoting transparency in educational institutions nationwide.
