Moe Has Suspended The Procedures Related To Investing In School Canteens
Ministry of Education has suspended the procedures related to investing in school canteens due to violations of the relevant conditions by the investing companies, reports Al-Anba daily. Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at Ministry of Education Yousef Al-Najjar explained that 15 out of 114 companies had been qualified to execute the project in 24 intermediate and secondary schools of different educational zones.
According to a report issued by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, 14 of these companies had violated conditions related to public hygiene and safety. Al-Najjar indicated that he did not want to take the risk of assigning only company to execute the project, due to which the procedures were suspended and a grace period was given to the 14 companies to remove the violations and meet the conditions of the tender. He affirmed that the tender will be refloated after receiving the approval of Public Authority for Food and Nutrition. Al-Najjar stressed that he is not able to specify a date for the launch of the project as it depends on the completion of all the relevant procedures.
