Moe Announced The Implementation Of New Project For Establishing Canteens In Schools

Ministry of Education announced the implementation of a new project for establishing canteens in schools during the new academic year despite protests raised by many school principals concerning this project, reports Al-Anba daily.

In a press statement to the daily, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Yousef Al-Najar explained that the ministry had formed a committee to study two projects. First one is regarding establishment of canteens instead of the current system. About 24 schools will be included in the trial phase. If the experiment proves to be a success, the project will be extended to rest of the schools. The second project is related to installation of machines that sell food items and meals by companies in coordination with Ministry of Health and Kuwait Municipality.
