Ministry Of Awqaf And Islamic Affairs Prepared 16 Zones For Eid Al-adha Prayers
Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs prepared 16 zones throughout the country’s governorates and residential areas for Eid Al-Adha prayers, ministry Undersecretary Farid Al-Emadi announced Saturday.
In a press release, Al-Emadi said that in coordination with the ministries of Education and Interior as well as the Public Authority for Sport (PAS), some schools, sports arenas, and facilities of large capacity would be hosting Eid prayers.
Previously, the Ministry of Interior restricted Eid prayers in some open areas, which were not adequately prepared to hold this ritual en masse, said Al-Emadi.
The official thanked the Interior Ministry for its great effort to maintain the security and wellbeing of worshipers and mosques and also commended the tremendous cooperation with the Ministry of Education and PAS for providing facilities for prayers.
The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) announced on Saturday that ATM machines, offering all types of banknotes and bills, would be available for the masses before the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
Bills of one, five, 10 and 20 Kuwaiti Dinar denominations would be available in ATM machines at the Avenues, Gate, 360 and Awtad Al-Jahra malls, said the CBK.
“The service is being provided for the second year in a row due to high demand,” indicated the bank in a press release.
“The bank will provide this service in cooperation with the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA), Kuwait retail payment service (KNET) and designated commercial malls,” the bank added.
