Ministry Advised Passengers To Follow Instructions At Kuwait Airport
On the advent of the traveling season, acting Assistant Undersecretary for Border Affairs in the Ministry of Interior Major General Khaled Al-Saqa’abi has called for passengers traveling via land, sea and airports to check the validity of their passports and obtain needed entry visas to the respective countries of destination. He called for passengers to follow instructions at Kuwait Airport and check in before time in order to complete the necessary procedures before take-off.
He also advised passengers to desist from carrying luggage for strangers to avoid any legal responsibilities. He warned against keeping valuables and important documents inside handbags, and illicit substances, tools such as knives, and flammables like fireworks. Al-Saqa’abi called on passengers to help reduce congestion at the airport by checking in without their escorts.
He also warned against parking in unauthorized areas while loading or unloading luggage, especially in the places allotted for disabled people. He pointed out that checkin and immigration counters at the airport have been increased at the start of the traveling season this year, which coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha festivities. Therefore, it requires much effort and readiness of Kuwait Airport to deal with the situation.
