Ministries Link For Dues And Payments
Following a successful initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, which integrated residents' transaction completions at the Ministry of Interior with the payment of their electricity and water bills alongside travel expenses, ongoing coordination between the two ministries has been unveiled.
The collaborative efforts aim to implement electronic linking procedures, mandating citizens to settle their outstanding dues, encompassing fees and electricity bills, before proceeding with Ministry of Interior transactions.
Sources within the Ministry of Electricity revealed that the earlier linking process with the Ministry of Interior, where residents were required to clear dues before traveling, resulted in the collection of substantial debt amounts accumulated over the years. This success prompted the ministry to take proactive measures to facilitate debt collection from citizens by linking it to the completion of their Ministry of Interior transactions.
It was explained that citizens who commit to settling their accumulated debts through pledges to the Ministry of Electricity, even through installment plans, will be permitted to finalize their transactions. The ministry's objective remains focused on debt collection without compromising the interests of citizens or residents.
Furthermore, the ministry has already completed the linking process with the Ministry of Interior regarding residents' debts and has established links with other governmental entities like the Ministry of Works, the General Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Public Authority for Industry. Presently, efforts are underway to establish connections with additional entities, including the Ministry of Finance, State Property Administration, and the Ministry of Commerce and Manpower.
