Minister Terminate The Services Of 12 Advisors In His Office

Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr Salem Al-Hajraf recently issued a decision to terminate the services of 12 advisors in his office, reports Al-Anba daily. Meanwhile, Al-Hajraf visited Subiya Station, accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for the Electrical Power and Water Distillation Stations Sector Eng Haitham Al-Ali to personally look into the progress of work and the station’s preparations for summer. Officials and employees at the station briefed the min ister on the rates of achievement in maintenance operations, as he began his tour with a meeting with the director and supervisors of the station; during which he was informed about the procedures followed in preparing the power and water distillation stations for the summer of 2024.

Acting director of the station Eng Talal Al-Shammari gave a detailed explanation of the mechanism of operation of the electrical control system in the station; which has a production capacity of 7,100 megawatts and constitutes 35 percent of the total energy produced in the country; while water production capacity is 100 million imperial gallons per day. He confirmed that the national employees are a source of pride and honor for the ministry, indicating the Power and Water Stations Sector is the backbone of the ministry through which the country’s needs for electricity and water are met. He stressed the importance of developing the national human resources, and qualifying them scientifically and practically to overcome the challenges they might face in securing sources of electric energy and water. In addition, Al-Hajraf met with various sectors in the ministry in the presence of acting Undersecretary Eng Maha Al-Asousi last week. These sectors include the Water Projects Sector; Water Operation and Maintenance Sector; Planning, Training and Information Systems Sector; Technical Services and Main Workshops Sector; Electric Power and Water Distillation Plants Sector, and the Monitoring and Control Centers Sector.
