Maritime Forces Of Kuwait Crack Down On Narcotics Threat
Eight individuals attempted to smuggle approximately 100 kilograms of crystal meth into Kuwait by sea. The market value of the seized narcotics is estimated at two million Kuwaiti dinars.
We immediately deployed a joint force from the Formation Department and the Maritime Security Department upon receiving information about a ship arriving in Kuwait carrying a significant quantity of narcotic substances. With the required legal authorization, the team seized the vessel in Kuwaiti territorial waters after conducting an extensive investigation of the ship's location. The entire crew, comprising 7 individuals of Asian nationality, was arrested.
A ship inspection revealed six jars containing crystal meth in substantial quantities. During the interrogation of the accused, one of them disclosed information about a person scheduled to receive the illicit cargo. Subsequently, a strategic operation was carried out, leading to the apprehension of the intended recipient and the seized items. The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated narcotics, have now been turned over to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.
