Live Sheep From Iran Smuggled With Narcotics

In the most recent incident of drug smuggling, law enforcement officers, led by Major General Hamid Al-Dawas, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Criminal Security Affairs, and Brigadier General Muhammad Qabazard, Director of Combating Control, successfully intercepted a shipment attempting to bring illicit substances into the country. The operation prevented the entry of 5 kilograms of crystal meth, a kilogram of hashish, and 20,000 narcotic pills concealed within the skin of live sheep arriving from Iran via Doha Port.

A security source revealed that the Ministry of Interior received intelligence regarding a shipment of sheep suspected of containing drugs. Subsequently, a security team was assembled to monitor the shipment. Upon its arrival at Doha Port, the sheep were tracked to individuals associated with a criminal group comprising three Asians. The suspects were arrested in the Kabd area, where it was discovered that they had smuggled drugs concealed within the entrails and skin of the sheep. The seized contraband, including the 5 kilograms of crystal meth, a kilogram of hashish, and 20,000 pills valued at a significant amount, along with the perpetrators, were handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and legal action
