Kuwait’s Chamber Chief Expressed Aspiration To Increase Trade Exchanges Between Kuwait And Austria
Chairman of the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ali Al-Ghanim expressed on Wednesday aspiration to increase trade exchanges between Kuwait and Austria. Level of the commercial exchanges between the two countries is currently “good however it remains short of the aspired level,” said Al-Ghanim in a statement to KUNA on sidelines of the Austrian- Arab Economic Forum.
The Kuwaiti chamber is partaking in the forum for sake of boosting commercial and business cooperation between the two countries, he said, noting that the event constituted an opportunity to apprise Austrian officials with the existing investment opportunities in Kuwait, namely mega projects envisaged in the development strategy, “Kuwait Vision 2035.”
Al-Ghanim indicated that the Kuwaiti side inquired about the business opportunities in the European country. The chairman had honored, on margins of the forum, Chairman of the Arab-Austrian Chamber of Commerce Nabil Al-Kuzbari for his role in boosting economic ties between Austria and the Arab countries, trade exchange volume of which reached, last year, USD 4.75 billion.
Earlier, Rabah Al-Rabah, Director General of the Kuwaiti chamber, said in remarks to KUNA that objectives of the event are in harmony with those of the “Kuwait Vision 2035.” He indicated at prospects of benefiting from Austrian companies particularly those specialized in infrastructure, health, energy and railways. The Kuwaiti delegation at the forum is headed by the chamber chairman Al-Ghanim and includes the board member Omran Hayat.
