Kuwait’s Al-zankawi Wins Second Gold At Gcc Games

Issa Al-Zankawi of the Kuwait Athletics Team earned Kuwait's second gold medal at the GCC Games on Tuesday, after his first in the discus throwing competition.

The Kuwaiti champion won this race after throwing the disc a distance of 60.20 metres, ahead of Qatar's Moath Mohammad, who finished second with a distance of (58.87 metres), and Saudi Arabia's Osama Al-Aqili, who came in third with a distance of (58.87 metres) (51.97 meters).

In this respect, Al-Zankawi told KUNA that he was delighted with his success, especially because it occurred during a period when he was plagued by ailments that hampered his performance last season.
