Kuwaiti Officials Call For A Professional Assessment Of Electronic Media Content
In a recent development, Lafi Al-Subaiee, the assistant undersecretary of press and publication at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information, emphasized the importance of evaluating electronic media content through a professional lens, particularly in light of the proliferation of false news and unreliable sources.
Al-Subaiee stressed the necessity for experts to meticulously scrutinize content to ensure adherence to established norms and standards. Speaking to KUNA after leading a ministry delegation at a meeting of the Arab electronic media committee in Jordan, he highlighted the imperative of upholding professional integrity and objectivity in media work.
“The issue warrants commitment to non-deviation from professional media work where there should be no room for subjectivity,” stated Al-Subaiee, emphasizing the need for seamless integration between traditional and electronic media platforms to uphold credibility.
During the meeting, Al-Subaiee and his counterparts deliberated on the role of content producers in combating extremist rhetoric and addressing the dangers posed by electronic games that promote violence. The discussions underscored the significance of collaborative efforts to tackle emerging challenges and uphold the integrity of media content in the digital age.
