Kuwaiti Hacker Walks Free After 10 Years Of Allegations

09 October 2023 Crime News

Criminal charges were dismissed against a Kuwaiti hacker who infiltrated 200 American websites and seized money. This ruling is based on the fact that the accused could not be tried for charges, which were leveled more than ten years ago.

Based on the case file, the Public Prosecution alleged that the accused, between December 2010 and June 2012, committed a hostile act against a foreign country, specifically the United States of America, without permission from the Kuwaiti government, by hacking protected government websites and databases belonging to the US Defense Department and the South Carolina National Guard.

In secret, the United States of America protested by issuing an arrest warrant and an international red notice against the accused. As a result, the accused was arrested and detained.
