Kuwait Municipality Signs Contract For 3 Landfill Sites

The Kuwait Municipality has signed a contract for studying the rehabilitation of three closed landfill sites in Kuwait Al-Qurain, Jleeb Al-Shuwaikh and North of Ring Road 7, it was announced Monday.

Municipality Director General Ahmad Al-Manfouhi said the seven-phase two-year contract is worth KD 431 (US$1.4 million). The project includes data archiving and documentation, and identifying the proper choices and alternatives for the rehabilitation of each landfill as well as how to use them, he added.
