Kuwait Municipality Initiates Inspection Team For Property Description Certificates
The Kuwait Municipality is taking proactive steps to enhance the accuracy of property description certificates through the establishment of an inspection team, as confirmed by official sources. This initiative aims to ensure alignment between issued certificates and real-world conditions, as documented in the municipality's electronic system.
According to reports from Al-Rai newspaper, the municipality is set to collaborate with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy to verify and potentially increase the electrical loads of properties found to be in violation. This preemptive measure serves as a means of substantiating cases before any legal actions, including the suspension of description certificate issuance for non-compliant properties.
It has been highlighted that once electricity is connected to a property, the municipality's access to it is restricted without prior authorization from the Public Prosecution. This precaution is particularly important to prevent unauthorized alterations to property plans post-electricity connection. Consequently, streamlining the process of issuing description certificates has become a priority.
During a meeting with the Supreme Committee of the Municipality, Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous, the Municipality's Director-General, reiterated the importance of fully implementing the law and making decisive decisions without hesitation.
