Kuwait Lifts Ban On Importing Chicken And Eggs From Chile, Australia, And The Dominicans

The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources issued a decision to lift the ban on importing all types of live birds, hatching eggs and chicks from Chile, Australia, and Dominicans as these countries are free from bird flu, Al Qabas reported

The authority said in a press statement today, Thursday that the decision affirmed the necessity that all consignments are subject to the conditions and controls issued by the Animal Health Department of the Authority following the procedures of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE)

The agricultural authority added that consignments affected by any of the epidemic and infectious diseases will be rejected, after examining the samples at the authority’s laboratory, The importer would be tasked with returning the affected birds and animals to the destination from which they arrived at their own expense.
