Kuwait Is Sixth In The World And Second In The Arab World In 5g Speeds
A report issued by the British company, Open Signal, which specializes in analyzing customer experience of mobile networks, revealed that Kuwait ranked sixth in the world and second in the Gulf and Arab countries in terms of speeds and coverage of the fifth generation (5G) among the world leaders in this aspect, with a download speed of 171.5 MB per the second.
The report said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia topped the list globally, and according to the report, which received wide attention, the average download of the fifth generation in Saudi Arabia exceeded 414.2 megabytes per second, which is a speed that exceeds the second place (South Korea) by 32%. In addition, the Kingdom leads in general speeds (fourth and fifth generation) with an average download speed of 144.5 MB / s, a speed that surpasses the second place (Canada) by 60% in determining the average speeds of connection to the Internet via the fifth generation network in all countries of the world.
The report stated that the countries that have the fastest download speeds in the world were classified, as the company adopts a measure to understand the total mobile experience of the users of the fifth generation network, by measuring the average download speeds on the fifth and fourth generation networks in addition to the time it takes to connect to each technology, which includes the overall experience Users of the fifth generation network across 12 of the world’s leading markets that launched the technology.

1- Saudi Arabia: 414.2 megabytes per second.
2- South Korea: 312.7 megabytes per second.
3- Australia: 215.7 megabytes per second.
4- Taiwan: 210.5 megabytes per second.
5- Canada: 178.1 megabytes per second.
6- Kuwait: 171.5 megabytes per second.
7- Switzerland: 150.7 megabytes per second.
8- Hong Kong: 142.8 megabytes per second.
9- United Kingdom: 133.5 megabytes per second.
10-Germany: 102 megabytes per second.
It should be noted that the report of the “Open Signal” company covers 3 aspects: the speed of the fifth generation, the general speeds of the fourth and fifth generation technologies, in addition to the coverage of the fifth generation.
In addition, Saudi Arabia also topped the general speeds (fourth and fifth generation) with an average download speed of 144.5 megabytes per second, which is a speed higher than second place (Canada) by 60% in determining the average speeds of connection to the Internet through the fifth generation network in all countries of the world.
Kuwait ranked tenth, with an average download speed of 44.5 megabytes per second.
