Kuwait Is An Inspiring Model In The March Of Democracy

The Arab Parliament affirmed today, Sunday, that “the State of Kuwait has always presented a pioneering, developed and inspiring model in the march of democracy and the promotion of political participation.”

In a statement, Parliament Speaker Adel Al-Asoumi congratulated «the State of Kuwait, the Emir, the government and the people, for the success of the parliamentary elections to the National Assembly, which took place in an atmosphere characterized by transparency, neutrality, professionalism and good organization.

Al-Asoumi said that the Kuwaiti people have proven through this important democratic entitlement that they are able to overcome all challenges under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Al-Asoumi also congratulated the new members of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, expressing his sincere wishes for success in bearing the great responsibility that the Kuwaiti people have placed on them.

He affirmed his full confidence that they would be as trusted by their voters to serve their country and contribute to raising its flag and achieving its aspirations for further progress and prosperity. Al-Osoumi expressed his deep appreciation for the pioneering achievements made by “the State of Kuwait in the march of democratic development and comprehensive development, which was reflected in the strengthening of its distinguished position and its active presence in its Arab, regional and international environment,” wishing its leadership and brotherly people continued prosperity, security and safety.
