Kuwait Deported 3,375 Expats In December
This month, the Ministry of Interior has deported 3,375 expatriates for violating residency and labor laws. According to informed sources, the various sectors of the Ministry of Interior have referred approximately 1,991 men and 1,384 women to the deportation department. Majority of them violated the residency and labor laws, while the others were either marginal workers or were in violation of public morals after they were caught in suspicious dens. Security campaigns will continue to be conducted in all governorates at various times in the morning and evening, according to the sources. The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media of the Ministry of Interior recently announced the arrest of 309 expatriates for violating residency and labor laws.
The General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations, through its Research and Investigation Department, Control and Coordination Department, Violators Follow-Up Department, and Financial and Administrative Services Department, conducted campaigns that led to the arrest of 300 expatriates, who violated residency and labor laws in Farwaniya, Khaitan, Al-Qurain Markets, Salhiya, and Shuwaikh. Nine individuals were also arrested for working in mobile groceries without a license. The arrested individuals have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) participated in the campaigns, according to sources.
