Iranian Oil Minister: We Are Prepared To Negotiate Or To Take Unilateral Action

Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji announced that comprehensive studies on the Dorra field (Arsh according to its Iranian name) have been completed and equipment for drilling operations will be installed shortly. This is the second Iranian escalation in recent days following the Iranian Foreign Ministry's statement a few days ago objecting to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia's agreement to develop the Dorra field.

Iranian President Hassan Oji reiterated his willingness to negotiate with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in a tweet, noting that unilateral actions (referring to the Kuwait and Saudi agreement) do not thwart the implementation of the Iranian plan, reports a local Arabic newspaper.

According to Iran, Kuwait-Saudi cooperation is an "illegal move," and it reserves the right to exploit it.
