India Kuwait To Sign Mou On Labour This Wednesday

A Memorandum of Understanding on the recruitment of Indian domestic workers to Kuwait is expected to be signed this Wednesday during the visit of External Affairs Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj to Kuwait. The MoU between India and Kuwait for domestic workers recruitment was discussed during the previous joint working committee meeting between India and Kuwait last April 2018. 

Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh was in New Delhi last week to finalise the talks on this matter. 

India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will arrive in Kuwait on Tuesday on a two-day official visit. She will reach Kuwait after paying a two-day visit to Qatar. Sushma Swaraj is scheduled to meet Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah and discuss a wide range of topics of mutual concerns. Swaraj will also call on His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday.
