In The Capital, Souk Mubarakiya Fire Debris Was Dumped
According to Al-Qabas daily, the authorities could not find a better place to dump the debris from the Mubarakiya market fire than the Capital itself. That too in the middle of an important square in the heart of the city, surrounded by many commercial complexes and government buildings.
In the area where the international financial center was proposed, large amounts of rubble and building debris harm the environment and landscape. Authorities concerned with beautifying the city justified the dumping of rubble at this site by saying that they hoped to find materials among the debris that could be used to restore the buildings of Souk Al Mubarakiya.
Rather than having these rubble and waste dumped in a vital and important location, which has harmed the Capital, the authority responsible for the transfer should have searched for materials that could be used in the market site itself before transporting it to the area.
