In 2021, 'smokers' Were The Top Violators

According to the Environment Public Authority, 14,235 environmental violations were issued in 2021, while 5,827 were referred to the Public Prosecution and 4,467 were reconciled.

A total of 714 violations were issued in restaurants, cafes, and food supply stores, and 842 violations were issued for undesignated areas to dispose of waste. Of all the violations, 714 were issued in restaurants, cafes, and food supply stores.

Sources report 730 fishing violations inside Kuwait Bay. Smoking in public places was cited 8,172 times by the authority.
