Improved Wage Changes For Air Traffic Controllers At The Airport
Recent wage amendments will offer air traffic controllers “clarity and stability” in regards to their respective working hours, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said on Saturday. The employees will now be required to work eight hours a day across three shifts per week, and will receive a two day break, DGCA director of air traffic Emad Al-Sanousi said.
Thanks to the decision made by the Civil Service Commission, they will also be handed an additional pay incentive for working shifts. Meanwhile, Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Science (KFAS) declared on Sunday that Kuwait CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) Exhibition would kick off in the country tomorrow (Monday).
KFAS Director General Dr. Adnan Shehabeddine said in a press release that the exhibition, organized in coordination with Kuwait University, CERN and Sheikh Ibrahim bin Mohammad al-Khalifa Center for Culture and Research, would proceed till November 18. The exhibition is aimed at educating visitors about CERN’s activities, he said.
For his part, the KU rector, Dr. Hussein Al-Ansari, said the event is also designed to encourage teaching modern physics at schools. CERN is a European research organization that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. Established in 1954, the organization is based in a northwest suburb of Geneva has 23 member states
