Imported Seafood With Tampered Expiration Dates Exposed In Kuwait

Several imported fish companies, including their factories, branches, and refrigeration facilities, have been taken to task by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. After being discovered engaging in commercial fraud related to frozen fish and shrimp quality and freshness, these businesses have been subject to legal action. Products that were supposed to be frozen were sold as chilled and fresh, and expiration dates on frozen items had been tampered with. These companies distributed 2,500 kilograms of these products to the general public, restaurants, and markets.
