Huge Turnout Of Residency Violators From The Filipino Community On Second Day Of Amnesty
A huge turnout of residency violators from the Filipino community gathered for the second consecutive day at the center in Al Farwaniyah for return to the Philippines to take advantage of the amnesty conditions starting in April, Al Rai reported. The process will continue until April 5.
Many Filipinos are expected to benefit from the Minister of Interior’s decision to allow residency violators to leave the country without paying fines or travel costs.
After the travel procedures were completed at the centers in preparation for their flights, some of the Filipinos expressed their thanks to Kuwait for the initiative to harness the efforts and provide facilities for their return to their home countries.
Applicants to the partial amnesty of Kuwait may proceed to Salma Bin Hamza School for Girls and Muthana Primary School for Boys located in the Block 1 of Farwaniya. Processing of documents are from 9 in the morning till 2 in the afternoon and are requested to bring their passport (updated or expired) or copy. For those who are not in possession of their passport, they may bring 4 passport size pics with blue background and travel documents will be processed on the spot. Applicants are also requested to bring their luggage and should they qualify are transported to shelters provided for until scheduled flights on the 3rd and 5th of April.
The Philippine Embassy urges all Filipinos with existing cases and meet the conditions to avail the amnesty to not waste the opportunity.
