Heavy Rains Keep Emergency Teams On High Alert
According to meteorologists, Kuwait will experience persistent heavy rain until tomorrow night, requiring emergency responses from the Ministry of Public Works to prevent water accumulations on the nation's roads. Al-Rai Daily reports that the General Traffic Department has also mobilized to ease traffic congestion caused by inclement weather.
Jassim Al-Astad, the Acting Minister of Public Works, was instructed by the Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy to ensure that the country is fully prepared for the rainfall. There were directives issued to coordinate efforts with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of Oil, Fire Department, National Guard, and Civil Aviation.
Teams have been strategically placed in critical locations prone to rain accumulations and tunnels to monitor water drainage chambers.
The rain will continue until Thursday night, according to Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, Director of the Meteorological Department. During this period of inclement weather, emergency teams are working collaboratively to mitigate potential risks and ensure Kuwait's residents' safety.
