Guidelines For Nurseries Before They Reopen

The Department of Supervision of Private Nurseries received the owners of regular nurseries concerned with people with disabilities as they wish to resume their shifts and re-accept children, Al Jarida daily reported.

The director of the administration, Nadia Al-Azmi, told the daily that they have started distributing all documents and papers related to the resumption of work and the resumption of receiving children. One of the most important documents is the advisory guide issued by the Ministry of Health. The preventive measures, working guidelines to avoid infection with Covid-19 disease, as well as all laws and decisions regulating their work.

Al-Azmi explained that the administration is also handing over the nurseries owners the pledges of parents, which must be signed by them before sending their children to nurseries. This process, started yesterday and will continue for another two days.

Health requirements for the return of nurseries

The guide issued by the Ministry of Health outlined the requirements to prevent infection with Covid-19 disease within the nurseries. The most prominent of which was the continuous coordination between nurseries and the ministry and informing them of the ongoing developments to prevent the spread of infection.

According to the guide, close eyes should be kept on the high-risk groups of children and employees, especially those with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart, chest, blood, weak immunity, who take cortisone treatments to follow them,

The development of a new educational curriculum that balances the health requirements without compromising intellectual skills, ensuring that children complete basic vaccinations, and educating parents, and removing their fears.

The requirements stressed that only those who have been vaccinated, with at least one dose, are allowed to return, and that nurseries must ensure that parents receive at least one dose of the vaccine, as well as establishing temperature checkpoints for workers and children at the entrance to the nursery, and adhering to personal protection tools.

The physical distancing of at least two meters, in addition to dividing children into groups at a rate of 50 percent of normal days, assigning a teacher to each group, in addition to a package of other requirements.
