Farwaniya securitymen arrested a gang of Syrian nationals specialized in stealing luxury vehicles, dismantling them and selling them as parts in the scrap yards. When Farwaniya Security Directorate received information about a number of high-end vehicles parked in a lot in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah formed a team for conducting investigations. It was discovered that the vehicles belonged to three car-rental offices, and a Syrian had taken them on rent for only one day.
When securitymen conducted further investigations in this regard, they discovered that not one but three Syrian expatriates have been renting highend vehicles for one day.
Securitymen arrested the three suspects in possession of seven high-end vehicles, equipment used for theft, 21 car keys, 14 registration books of vehicles, a number of passports, three knives and several other items.
