For Incorrect Medical Diagnosis, Hospital Must Pay Compensation Of 8,800 Dinars

22 November 2023 Kuwait

In a recent legal development, a Kuwaiti court has mandated a private hospital to compensate a female citizen with 8,800 dinars for an inaccurate medical diagnosis.

The incident unfolded when the citizen sought treatment at a private hospital. Regrettably, the medical professionals at the facility failed to provide an accurate diagnosis. Subsequently, the case was referred to forensic medicine, which determined that there was no conclusive evidence of the hospital violating medical principles in handling the plaintiff's case.

Despite this finding, the court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, acknowledging that she suffered harm as a result of the incorrect medical diagnosis.
