Follow-up Committee Formed For Contract Auctions For Billboards
Eng Thamer Al-Mutairi, Director of the Jahra Governorate Municipality Department, will head the committee that will work on the implementation of advertising auction contracts. The council will be headed by the Director of the Kuwait Municipality, Eng Ahmed Al-Manfouhi.
In his decision, Al-Manfouhi set out the committee's mandate for recommending locations for the installation of billboards, whether they are to be auctioned now, in the future, presenting the recommendation to the competent authorities, and determining what the licensed companies are required to do regarding more advertisements or changing their placement, and enforcing the penal provisions that are stipulated against anyone who violates the final agreement between licensees and municipalities.
Al-Manfouhi emphasized the need to coordinate between the municipal council and the authorities with regard to the site and checking on the violations that are deemed to be issued to the licensed companies as a result of violating the terms and provisions of the contracts concluded with them as well as receiving monthly reports from the municipal branches in the governorates on the results of the inspection tours, which must be conducted at the sites of the billboards during the month so that legal action is taken as soon as possible against violators.
