Finance Ministry Approves ‘Afiya 4’ Health Insurance Tender With 273.6 Million Dinar Budget

The Ministry of Finance has approved launching a tender for “Afiya 4” to offer health insurance services to citizens, with a budget of 273,600,000 dinars for a two-year contract period.

The tender’s value will be reduced by 50% of the required amount without compromising the medical services provided to beneficiaries, and that the replacement of certain treatments and services is conducted through Ministry of Health hospitals and centers, ensuring alignment with existing controls and systems in place.

The Ministry of Finance’s approval stated that the resulting financial coverage will entail a discount from the allocation designated for the Ministry of Health’s budget for the year 2024-2025 and subsequent fiscal years.
