Finance Minister Nayef Al-hajraf Will Face His Third Interpellation In The Coming Legislative Term

MP Thamer Al-Suwait has disclosed that Finance Minister Nayef Al-Hajraf will face his third interpellation in the coming legislative term for interfering with admissions to customs safety and inspection control courses, as well as pulling strings in the employment of customs supervisors.
He believes this interference is a form of negligence which affects the future of students and a vital State institution; hence, the need for stern political accountability that will be underway soon. In another development, MP Mohammed Al-Huwaila submitted a proposal to grant leave days to the companion of a patient undergoing treatment abroad equal to the treatment period without deducting these days from the total annual leave days.

The MP explained that providing a companion for the patient is as important as sending the patient for treatment abroad, as the companion shoulders all non-medical responsibilities which cause emotional and physical stress.

In a bid to relieve them of some stress, the MP proposes that the companion should travel with the patient without worrying about using up their annual leave days. Furthermore, MP Abdulkareem Al-Kandari called on ministers to benefit from the experiences of numerous civil associations and committees in following up State projects and housing issues, as well as other issues concerning citizens.

He said these entities were formed by the concerned citizens and the most important sources of information as they reflect the voice of the streets and mirror the reality of issues that the Kuwaiti public is facing, and taking their opinions on matters for governmental authorities to quickly identify the bedrock of issues the country is facing.

For this reason, the MP called on all ministers to periodically meet with these entities and benefit from their experiences as by the end of the day, they are also Kuwaitis.
