Farwaniya Governorate Resulted In Issuing 53 Miscellaneous Citations
A campaign organized by the Emergency Team of the Commercial Control Sector of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) on the markets and shops in the Farwaniya Governorate resulted in issuing 53 miscellaneous citations and referral of the violators to the Commercial Prosecution, reports Al-Rai daily.
The campaign is part of the ministry’s efforts to monitor markets and price increases. The team of 40 inspectors was headed by Director of the Commercial Control Department Faisal Al-Ansari, the Undersecretary and head of the Sector, Eid Al- Rashidi.
The citations included lack of display of prices, sale of counterfeit goods, commercial fraud, making sale offer without permission, fraud in the weight of goods, etc. Al-Ansari explained that this plan has been prepared by specialists in the ministry to cover all the provinces at frequent intervals, especially since the school season kicked off, the owners attempt to cheat unsuspecting people through unscrupulous price offers.
Al-Rashidi said that the campaign in the Farwaniya area is the beginning of other such campaigns which will be organized in various areas including Khaitan and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, and called on the consumers to cooperate and report any improper operation on WhatsApp 55135135 or the website of the Ministry.
