Egyptian Was Released Who Was Accused In A Fight With A Kuwaiti
The Public Prosecutor has released the Egyptian Wahid Mahmoud who was summoned for interrogation over a fight with a Kuwaiti inside his motorcycle repair shop in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area.
Wahid told the prosecutor he was defending himself after the Kuwaiti landed blow after blow. He added, he picked up a plastic fire extinguisher which was nearby and hit the man to defend himself. He added he was severely assaulted until he fainted. He added, he does not know what was the intention of the suspect and said may be he wanted to kill him.
The source revealed the Prosecutor had interrogated the Kuwaiti two days ago and slapped five charges against him — attempted murder, insulting in a public place, deliberately damaging the shop, abuse of cell phone and insulting and slander in violation of the E-Crimes Law because he had filmed the incident and posted it on the electronic media.
The source explained the Kuwaiti told the Prosecutor he did not intend to kill the Egyptian but that he was defending himself after he was hit on the head which caused him injury. He added, if he wanted to kill the man, he said he would pick up some sharp object or a knife or anything else instead of hitting him with his bare hands and legs and a wooden stick. The source added, the medical report shows the Egyptian suffered sporadic injuries and bruises and a minor fracture in the nose. The injuries are neither life threatening nor permanent and curable within one month. The source pointed out, the accused will be produced before the detention renewal judge.
