Egyptian Killed Compatriot Over Kd20, Gets Life Sentence In Kuwait

Kuwaiti media reported that an Egyptian expat was sentenced to life in prison for killing his compatriot in Dasma with premeditation.

He was accused of killing a compatriot who owed him 20 Kuwaiti dinars.

According to the Public Prosecution, the accused deliberately killed the victim with a knife while pursuing him in his workplace.

From January 2021 to February 2022, Kuwait reported at least 30 premeditated murders, an average of two crimes per month.

Police efforts led to arrests in the vast majority of cases, and perpetrators were brought to justice in most cases.

In addition, statistics revealed that drug abuse was closely associated with more than 75 percent of recent murders.
