Education Director Running Fake Accounts Striking At Reputations At Ministry
The owner of fake accounts that published offensive materials was arrested, and turned out to be working as a director of a department in the curriculum sector in the Ministry of Education, Al Qabas daily.
The daily said, quoting informed sources that a large number of officials among others in the education sector submitted more than 20 complaints against a fake account that had caused them many problems at work and damaged their personal reputations including causing separation of some of them from their wives and the destruction of their family lives.
Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs, Major General Muhammad Al Sharhan, formed a team of detectives to investigate the fake accounts until they discovered the account owner, and the biggest shock was when it was found that he was a director in the ministry, striking at its various officials and employees, and using his position to ignite discord among them.
The daily said, quoting sources that the detectives obtained permission from the Public Prosecution Office, ambushed the accused and arrested him. On searching his vehicle, three phones were found which were tools to manage the fake accounts, and the devices were confiscated. The daily said that the suspect was taken to the investigation office, and then transferred to the Public Prosecution on more than 20 cases.
