Customs Seize 13,000 Kilograms Of Tobacco

The Shuwaikh port customs men stopped 13,000 kilograms of tobacco from entering the country, hidden in a caravan tow for camping and housing.

A "caravan truck" belonging to a company was received at Shuwaikh port for housing and camping, and customs inspectors thoroughly examined the vehicle, discovering a secret cache on its roof along with welding traces. When the inspectors opened it, they found approximately 564 burlaps of tobacco, buried in a professional manner, and 422 thousand pills weighing approximately 13 thousand kilograms in total, the newspaper reports.

The contraband has been handed over to the appropriate authorities.
