Criminal Court Sentences 4 Expatriates To 7-Year Imprisonment For Database Hacking

The Criminal Court has issued a verdict to incarcerate four expatriates for a duration of 7 years with hard labor, alongside imposing a fine of 4,200 dinars and deportation upon completion of their sentence.

The individuals were brought to trial on charges of hacking into the Consumer Protection Department's database and utilizing it for financial gain by pilfering money from citizens and residents. According to reports from Al-Anba daily, they falsely claimed to be employees of the administration through WhatsApp messages.
